Vision, Mission, and Initial Community Engagement Define Vision and Mission:
Finalize the vision and mission statements. These will guide all activities and ensure that everyone is aligned.
Start by engaging key community leaders and stakeholders through meetings, town halls, or focus groups. Use these sessions to gather input, build awareness, and start forming the steering committee.
Gather Partners and Resource Mapping
Form the Steering Committee: Establish the steering committee with representatives from healthcare, education, social services, public health, and other relevant sectors.
Resource Mapping and Gap Analysis: Conduct a thorough inventory of existing community resources and identify gaps that need to be filled to achieve THRIVE’s goals.
Strategic Planning and Capacity Building
Strategic Plan Development: Collaborate with the steering committee to create a strategic plan that outlines specific goals, actions, timelines, and responsibilities.
Capacity Building: Begin training for key partners and volunteers, focusing on mental health support, suicide prevention, and community engagement.
Pilot Programs and Initial Implementation
Launch Pilot Programs: Start with small, manageable pilot programs that address one or more aspects of THRIVE, such as healthcare access or resilience-building workshops.
Communications Strategy: Roll out the THRIVE branding and begin regular communication with the community through social media, newsletters, and local media.
Full Implementation and Outreach Expansion
Expand Programs: Based on feedback from the pilot programs, expand successful initiatives to reach more of the community.
Broaden Outreach: Increase outreach efforts to engage more community members, local businesses, and potential volunteers. Continue to gather feedback and adjust programs as needed.
Evaluation, Sustainability Planning, & Celebration
Evaluate Progress: Assess the impact of THRIVE’s initiatives using the metrics and feedback loops established earlier in the year.
Sustainability Planning: Secure long-term funding and resources to ensure the continuation of successful programs. Consider scalability options for the future.
Celebrate Successes: Host a community event to celebrate the achievements of the first year, recognize the contributions of partners, and build momentum for the future.
We want to be mindful of the following considerations during the first year: • Focused Approach: Prioritize key initiatives that can be realistically achieved within the year. Avoid spreading resources too thin. • Adaptability: Be prepared to adapt the plan as needed based on feedback and unforeseen challenges. • Strong Leadership and Collaboration: Effective leadership and strong collaboration among partners are crucial to staying on track.
